An absolute travesty

Erasure have got a new single out; it’s a cover of Peter Gabriel’s Solsbury Hill, possibly one of the finest pop songs ever written in 7:4 time.

And, of course, they’ve dumbed it down into 4:4 (by adding a beat every other bar), thus completely trampling over what made it great in the first place. Such a degree of philistinism beggars belief.
