The Christmas Spirit
Not what it used to be.
So here I am in Waterstone’s shopping for science books (Amazon’s science section is hopeless), and it’s a nightmare. Loads of people, dreadful piped Christmas carols, and downright weirdness like a section marked “These books would make great gifts” or something like, which contains such things as Alzheimer’s For Dummies or Depression for Dummies.
Now, I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t sound like the Christmas Cheer I remember. For that matter, “Depression for Dummies” seems inappropriate at any time of year.
Sigh. Anyway, I get back, and I’m going through email and someone has sent round a link to, well, see it for yourself (Not Safe For Work). All I’ll say is that it involves Dutchmen and Sheep, and it had me laughing incontrollably for quite a while, but it’s not quite Santa material.
