Today's gross act of stupidity
The timestamp on this post should give you a bit of a clue.
It was about 2:30am, and I was feeling pretty tired, but I’d almost finished my book so decided to do just that. Now, the problem I have with finishing books is that it tends to leave me on an adrenalin high, which makes it tricky to go to sleep any time soon. As it happens, though, a large Amazon order turned up yesterday. Maybe you can see where this is going.
Yup, the second of tonight’s books turned out to be a major page-turner. It’s now light outside. Bugger.
I decided to check the blogs instead of starting a third book. Which is why I can tell you that the Dean campaign are suggesting that you turn the tables on telemarketers by pitching Dean as a candidate when they’re trying to sell you kitchens, double glazing, or whatever telemarketers sell in the US. It’s a very simple idea, and given that a) whenever you’re cold-called, it’s not something you asked for, so it’s a waste of your time; but b) it happens every now and again, so it’s effectively something you budget for, and therefore c) you wouldn’t be doing anything with that time anyway, you may as well try and pitch your favourite Presidential candidate.
