Personality tests
This came up when I was in the US, and I couldn’t remember, and then I come back and find that Gareth has been talking about Myers-Briggs personality tests.
I currently score INTP, but it’s close enough that I can score INTJ on occasion. (I had a job application before I joined UK2, where they asked me to fill out the personality tests; I got one result when I did a dry run as an anonymous coward, and another when I did it as myself.)
The previous links are to whichever site Gareth found that had a Myers-Briggs test. Google for more. I’m happy, though, that my current profession is listed in their list of valid careers :-).
Oxford place names
Helen has moved to Oxford, which one of her correspondents finds funny because she now lives in “South Hinksey”.
Well, isiserin, dig up a road map of Oxfordshire and you’ll find loads more stupid names. Chipping Sodbury is my personal favourite, but that’s just one I can remember; Oxfordshire, for some reason, has stupid numbers of silly place names. A quick map search should dig up loads more, like, for instance, “Kingston Bagpuize” (how could I have forgotten that one?).
Roleplaying
Gareth told me that he’d rewrite his Golden Heroes summary, which is an excellent excuse to not read it now. In any case, Peregrine doesn’t pay much attention to this sort of thing, so I don’t have to either.
