B3ta has recently found a list of atrocious country song titles. Some of them appear to be genuine - How Come Your Dog Don’t Bite Nobody But Me? is listed at the official BMI site, along with a large number of other songs by the same author.
And although I couldn’t find an exact match for “Jesus Loves Me But He Can’t Stand You”, there are a scary number of matches for “Jesus Loves Me” (yes, page 1 of 10).
Having said that, though, if I google for some of the more outlandish song titles like “Am I Double Parked by the Curbstone of Your Heart?”, I get pretty much nothing but “funny country and western song titles” pages. Which suggests to me that some of these may be - shock, horror - made up.
